My mums S-ER is misfiring on cylinder 3. I pulled the plugs and they look okay. I swapped the caps and it is still misfiring, not sure if its cylinder 3.
did you get any ses codes? its possible it is the coilpack, you can try rebuilding it. crank sensor is also a common problem, but its nice if you have the ses codes. does your vehicle still have precat, loctited butterflies?
I had the same issue and ended up being one of the coil packs. To verify, I swapped the misfiring cylinder coil pack with one from another cylinder. I cleared the codes and waited for the misfire to occur again. Pulled in the codes again and verified the misfiring cylinder was the one with suspected bad coil pack. Replaced the coil pack and has been running good since then. Hope this helps.
