did you clear the code? you should change both cam and crank sensors at the same time, it could be either that is malfunction, or has a bad connection. normally the gxe is the cam sensors, and the ser is the crank sensors.
that is a possibility, you would get odd readings from a stretched chain. sorry to hear the chain is bad, look on the bright side, at least it didnt break while you were driving it.
