I am about to get another 02 spec v for parts for my current 02. the guys engine is shot due to the pre cat failure (my current one is fixed and no oil is burning ). just wondering if anyone had some ideas of what i can do with it. i am already considering turning it into a project car after i harvest some parts off of it. possibly doing and engine swap and throwing a turbo in. just looking for some ideas.

not sure where you live, but if youre considering a turbo and swapping motors, you might be interested in a vq35 swap. all the turnkey power, without all the turbo hassle. i mean you could always turbo the vq35

i agree i turboed my qr25de and i love it but theres alot of sh** thats goes along with it. fuel upgrade(injectors,fuel pump, reture line u gotta tape ur self, and regulator, turbo kit, tuned ecu or safc depending on ur goals. after all said and done i spent more money then the vq swap would have been. i used JWT 630cc turbo tune, there 350z 1200kg clutch and light flywheel, balence shaft removal kit. if i did it again the vq is were i would go only for the reliable and consistence in power.
