06 tranny swap question

I have a 02 spec v and i got my tranny swapped at the dealership under warrenty and i think they put in a 06 tranny because 1st gear is alot longer then when i had the stock 02 tranny.
My question is wuts the top speed in 1st gear on the 06 tranny and the top speed in 1st gear on the 02 tranny?

I doubt the repalced with a brand new trans. They just probably replaced it with a re-maned '02 trans, that or they rebuilt your trans, depending on what happened.

At 6200 rpms with an outer tire diameter of 25.09" (I have 225/40-18) in:
Gear------02------03+
1st------30.6-----35.5
2nd-----53.8-----57.6
3rd------83.1-----80.4
4th-----110.4-----106.1
5th-----135.4-----138.4
6th-----165.9-----166.4

Of course these are all ideal calculated values

they really replaced it with an 06 because i saw on the manufacture sticker that the tranny came with says 2006. And I feel that the gears are longer than my 02 and when I shift at redline in 2nd gear going to 3rd it doesnt grind anymore.

The gear that gets you to the cliff fasest.

Well, the honest answer is it is completely dependent on your torque curve. Get a good reliable dyno and that will tell you when you are making peak power and at what rpm. That is where you'd have the most power at the ground in every gear.
