New Nissan Rogue Buy Or Pass?

My g/f wants the new Rogue because of the way it looks and great gas mileage. I would rather have the Murano, or the rx330, or Bmw, but they dont get as nearly as good of gas mileage. It is 24/27 MPG and sometimes 32 on highway which is great, but only has 170 horses as much as my car lol. What are your thought on a new nissan Cuv(Cross-over utility vehicle), or actually suv haha. Will it last do you thinik? Or will it have random recalls and b.s things to it.

Get a Toyota SUV, those damn things run forever and have great reliability.

We're probably getting a Highlander once the CRV gets too old.

I wouldn't waste money on a premium SUV right now, so the Rogue would get my vote. Would I buy one? No, only because I still don't trust the longevity of the CVT.

In the real world, most crossovers don't get but 1-2 mpg more than their truck based competitors unless you're willing to stick with a 4 cylinder.

My wife wants one too. So far its the best vehicle that she has looked at so I'm game. I think they look like crap but hey its not my car. The interior space is awesome though.

the interior really is. and although it's a little on the slow side it has very decent gas mileage. i say if you need it, go for it.

NiSsAnSpEcV85 why does your gf want one? i mean i understand if you guys have kids and stuff but if it's just going to be her driving it all the time i don't see the point of getting an suv/crossover.

I'm a bit confused as to why we're lumping the Nissan Rogue in with the Infiniti line, Lexus and BMW.

Seems a little apples and oranges to me.

What is with women and getting a big SUV/crossover 99% of the time they don't need all that space, unless maybe if you have kids but otherwise its useless. Worried about gas mileage why not get a civic or a corolla. Personally I don't like crossovers but I guess if she is set on one its not bad I damn sure wouldn't spend almost double on a bmw/lexus/infiniti

Subaru Forrester. Better than Rogue in any are you want to look at. Not even a comparison. If you could get a left over 2008..all the better.

I need to figure out a new signature.

True, but we are just comparing suvs. I am aware of the price difference.

My two picks are probably the Rogue or Rav 4. Both are pretty stylish, which is probably somewhat important to your gf.

170hp is plenty, unless she's a speed racer. The difference between a rogue and a premium CUV is 10k+ so whats her price range?

Ah see thats the best part of my wife getting one. I get to add another toy to the stable...Forester XT I'm running out of space for all these F'n cars.

Most women want an suv type vehicle because they feel safe in it. The wife loves the camaro but everytime I drive it she says how low to the ground it is. Security thats all it is to them.

Yup, my wife loves the high driving position of the CR-V. The biggest thing though is the 5 star front and side impact crash test rating, makes me feel better when she's driving around with our 10 month old.
