Nissan Rogue Unveiled

Autoblog.com

Quote:
The Rogue shares its architecture with the new Sentra, and comes with FWD standard, though AWD is available as an option. No matter how you trim it out, there's just a single powertrain option available: a 175-horsepower 2.4L four-banger connected to a CVT. If you want to control shifts yourself, you can add a set of optional paddles.

Edit: Left Lane News is stating that it comes standard with a 2.5, probably the QR.

Quote:
The 2008 Nissan Rogue will be available in two models, Rogue S and Rogue SL, each with a standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)) and 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). An all-new all-wheel drive system with yaw moment control is also available on both S and SL models.

Looks likes this fits between the two. I think there's enough of a gap.

There's also supposed to a new concept revealed at the Detroit Car Show: http://nissannews.com/nissan/news/pr...08092824.shtml

Current:
2011 Navy Blue Metallic Nissan Altima 3.5SR Sedan

Yeah, the Versa doesn't really fit in the picture though. The Murano I think competes against the Equinox, etc. The Rogue will compete against the CRV mainly.

If it has the QR25, the CRV is going to have a lot of crap to kick.

And the Rav-4. Maybe that ugly Dodge Nitro, too.

I'm impressed with everything but the fact it's QR powered. FTL.

Otherwise it'd probably the only car that could bring me into a Nissan dealership.

Are you saying the 2.5 is a better engine than Honda's 2.4?

I need to figure out a new signature.
