Pros: Cheap and good quality product.
Cons: Had to smack it with a hammer to clear the alternator.

... Good product, strong welds, high grade stainless steel. The only problem i had with mine is smackin' pipe 1 so it would clear the alternator.. From what i've heard its only the first gen headers that megan racing made that have this problem. Picked this header up for 195 shipped and i have no complaints.

Pros: no more precat failure
Cons: none

I bought this June 2010 and so far it's nice. I like the looks, it has a gold tone to it now and it sounds good once your car adjusts the A/F ratio. It is loud on higher rpms but can't complain compared to the benefits. I only got the gasket and header but not the doughnut with my order so had to use the stock doughnut. In other words, it is nice!

Pros: good bang for the buck, gets rid of pre cat issues
Cons: increased exhaust noise, crappy hardware

This is the first mod that I did on my car, It took several hours (and beers) to install although I wasn't in a rush to get it done either. I've now had this header on my car for almost two years and I've had no cracks or manufacturing issues with it in any way. The quality of the welds seem to be good on the unit that I bought. The steel has started to blue and get a little ugly over time but that's to be expected unless you're willing to fork out the big bucks. This will make your car louder and give your exhaust a more raspy tone, this wasn't what I expected (the pitch) from such a large displacement four cylinder but I have grown used to it. Initially I felt that the torque of my engine had dropped off after the install but after several days I noticed the improvements in power that were promised.
These headers come with some really S#!TY hardware the manifold gasket is a piece of crap and the exhaust doughnut follows suit. Throw both in the trash and if you haven't ruined the factory parts re-use them. Megan racing in their instructions want you to simply bolt the header to the exhaust with some supplied bolts... Put those bolts away for later use. Retrieve the springs and washers from your stock manifold and install them between the down pipe and the header with some longer bolts making a flex joint similar to what the factory did, do this and you won't have broken exhaust problems, QR25's flop around way too much to have a hard mount like what is shown in the instructions.
At the same time that I installed my header I did the ghetto sim mod with my O2 sensors using drilled out spark plug anti foulers from HELP products. I haven't experienced a SES light in the time that I've had either of these mods.
