Fuel Pressure Regulator has died

Well, to those of u who are wondering why my sign in is badluckspecv, this is why. If something bad can happen, it'll happen to my car.

Anyways, I have just been informed by the mechanic at Nissan that my fuel pressure regulator has gone out. That's why my vehicle takes 4 to 5 secs to start up when it's hot.

Well, my question, after searching, is this? Should I bother with an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, which requires a custom return line, or should I just pay for the OEM part?

I think the FPR is integrated into the fuel rail, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, I don't think there is any real reason to buy aftermarket. Our cars run pig rich to begin with

I don't think it would be that easy. Like I said, I think it's incorporated into the rail.

Its in the rail.

If you want to get something to tune while your at it, then get the Nismo FPR, its 125$ a lee auto, or I think some guy on Sr20forum.com can get it for 90$.

Also Nismo parts has it for 107$.

It fits these applications :

1989-1998 240SX
1990-1992 Stanza
1993-2001 Altima
1991-1994 Sentra w/2.0L engine
1998-2001 Sentra w/ 2.0L engine
1991-1993 NX2000
1995-1998 200SX w/ 2.0L
1990-1997 Pickup 4-cyl
1998-current Frontier
2000-current Xterra 4-cyl

Since it doesnt fit B15U SE-R you'll need a braket and universal Nismo AFPR .

Part # from Nismoparts.com :

22670-RR710-US Fuel Regulator $107.99
22672-RR710 Bracket Unver Regulator $30.00
Subtotal: $137.99

So, does it fit the Spec V 2.5L?
