SE-R Shifter: Rod or Cable?

I searched, and I've only found one post...says the SE-R is also a cable shifter..like the Spec V. Can anyone else confirm this, or is this still a debatable topic?

And for you SpecV's out there, can you wiggle your shifter while it's in gear?

It is cable. Straight from the FSM.

I can pull mine out of gear when not accelrating without using the clutch, it just gently slides out
