sputtering and dying after MAF change

I recently installed a new MAF and an AEM short RAM air intake. 1 week later I am experiencing serious problems that I thought was related to idle relearn. I have performed all 3 relearns multiple times and it is still acting very funny.
I can cold start it just fine but once it warms up it starts sputtering violently. It happens mainly at idle and below 2500 rpm. once I get the RPM up over 2500, it seems ok for a bit and sputters just a little. The reason that I changed the MAF was because my car would sputter and die on idle when it was damp outside and someone told me that it was most probably the MAF. Well now it doesn't matter if it is wet or dry. any ideas?

new symptoms

it no longer dies. However, my engine will not rev over 2250 RPM in gear or in neutral.

what brand maf did you use? normally we only recommend genuine nissan for the maf. did you try using cnc maf cleaner and clean off your original maf?

not reving over 2krpm usually means your in limp mode. your ses light should be on, pull your codes, or do the pedal dance.

I just tried the pedal dance multiple times. It doesn't give me a code. It blinks 5 times and then locks on solid.

assuming you have at least 6" of pipe between the maf and filter? and youre using a genuine nissan maf. check and made sure the connector was clicked onto the maf? check your bettery terminals and grounds for good tight connections and no corrosion.

follow the fsm troubleshooting, you may have a bad ecu, are you up to date on all of your recalls? otherwise check the voltages at your maf harness, the values are in the fsm as well.

Can you tell me how to check the voltages? I have a meter, just don't know what pins to test and what they should read.
Also, I went to Oreilly and got them to pull code: p0103
MAF sensor Circuit high voltage

Don't know about any recalls, where do I find that info.
battery terminals have 0 corrosion and are tight.

ok. so I got it out of limp mode. I was able to clear the code. Now it is back to intermittent sputtering and it dies only after it has a load then drops off quick like when pressing and holding in clutch. It is definitely something with my MAF. I just need to find out how to test resistence and voltage on my maf.

if you got the p0103 with your NEW maf, you need to return it, it's the wrong maf. different year sentra's have different voltages at the maf. if the ecu detects it as high and it is new, def wrong part#. if you need a new one, get a genuine nissan maf for your year model, or vin.

have you tried cleaning your original maf with cnc maf cleaner?
