New Guy Here!

Hello everyone! I've been on the B15U forum a little, but this forum has an app so I joined lol! I have an 05 SE-R Spec V. Currently deployed in the middle east with the US Army. When I get back I will be starting my QR25DE engine build pistons, rods, cams, valve train, sleeved block, and all the usual machine work you do to your heads and block. Im building for boost so I'm looking at the Treadstone turbo kit with the gtk 500 turbo. My goal is 500hp. If anyone has built a 500hp Qr25de please direct me to your thread and give any advice. Thanks all!

Thanks. Yeah I saw a black Spec V with 636whp on the dyno. Pretty awesome for our little qr25de getting 200hp per cylinder! Hoping to follow in his footsteps! I will be looking for a qr25de engine or a 2002-06 spec v on its way to 500hp that just needs me to finish it. I'm committed!

There's a big part of me where I wanna boost my car but problem is that I jst dnt trust the stock qr25 engine enough to throw so much work, time and money into it and end result having the engine blow...

Do it right and you won't have to worry about it blowing, sleeve the block, have a good machinist gasket fit your block and head, get some good rods, pistons and other internals and it'll be fine. If you're wanting to run above 8psi you are going to need to do some work and spend some money.
