I have 2006 Nissan Sentra and the rear window plastic slider broke and the window wont go all the way up and goes down half way. Is there a way to replace just the plastic slider that broke?
I'm looking for that, too! Auto parts stores and Nissan dealers can only sell me the whole motor and regular assembly ($100+!), when I only need the tiny plastic slider/roller part! It's ridiculous, isn't it?
Mine snapped in half, too, and it's a part that can't be epoxied well, either.
Have you found any solutions?
I know O'Reilly's sells generic sliders for American cars, but nothing for Nissan.
When I replaced mine, I removed the metal piece and examined it. It looks like there's two pinched ends to stop the plastic shuttle from flying out, and as such to me it looked like you at least needed to repurchase that whole metal piece.
I purchased one without the motor and also went with a brand name, and got it for around 50 dollars. You can go even cheaper.
The one I found also had a slightly better design. The internal rod component that goes into the plastic shuttle also rotates, and doesn't run dry and then snap the shuttle in half.. I hope.
Youtube is your friend for this one. There's some very good videos on how to replace that part.
