Random Thoughts (post whore thread)

GENERAL RULES FOR THIS THREAD

Post anything you want. No attacking other members. No hard core porn (regrettable, I know). I wanted a thread where people can post whatever they want within reason. I honestly couldn't care less if this gets locked, it's just an online forum for pete's sake.

So feel free to reply to what I post or write your own random crap.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's what I got on my mind:

(1) My wife is expecting our second kid, due in late April, we'll find out the gender by Christmas. Damn, as if our 16 month old isn't enough work. She's got bad morning sickness and sleeps for like 20 hours. They say this is normal and should get better by the second trimester. Between home, hanging out with friends, working on my car and weekend autox events, I've never been this busy in my life.

(2) To counter the stress I bought a Nintendo Wii, I can't stop playing bowling, I got a 264, anyone beat that? Friends who own a PS3 or X360 love it and plan to get their own. They are still hard to get, at least in Charlotte, I had to call a bunch of Gamestops before I found one.

(3) I also got parts for my Evo, Ferodo DS2500 brake pads (similar to Hawk HP+) and Dunlop Z1 Star Spec tires in 245/40R17 to go on my stock 17x8 Enkeis. I was only 2 tenths of 1st place in STU at the last event on shot tires and dead brake pads, so I plan to win at the next event.

(4) Premium 93 octane gas is still hard to find in Charlotte, NC because of hurricane Ike and Gustav. It's going to get better in a few weeks, but this really sucks. It's a coincidence, but timed with this latest economic mess, people are in a real depressed mood lately.

(5) So this economic downturn is bad, and it will get worse. I was talking to tx and I think there are too many people with too much credit card and/or mortgage debt. And they have little savings, and the only thing they own (equity) is a car and/or house which usually amounts to very little. Or they rent and have too much in car loans and credit card debt. I would say to everyone don't panic, keep working, spend wisely, and try to save.

(6) My parents are both Korean, yet all my life I have never had any asian friends. All my close friends are white. Recently, I love to tell clean racist jokes and we yell "herro" and other things back and forth while drunk. The problem is sometimes I say it when I don't mean too, like at the grocery store, I walk in and say "HERRO" and they think I just go off the ship.

I think the economic downturn may be impacting the maryjane producers adversely, just from what ALL of my friends keep saying about the availability of the big-box/mass produced budz.

I always wanted to start a thread like this. You think of something but don't want to create a whole thread regarding the thought.

I'm not surprised. It's been like that in Charlotte too, don't ask me how I know.

Your first post is weak Flanders.

Got anything to say about what I wrote my first post?

No fuel shortages in central MS either (or Memphis from what i was told).

I agree completely on the need for a needless thread like this.

No worries, I was just kidding around, lol.

I played GTA IV, liked it a lot, but I'm buying a PS3 once Gran Turismo 5 comes out, which I think is in 2010. I can wait.

Enjoy your young no kid status, it won't last forever.

It's truly sad to see the number of households that actually have a negative net worth. According to a report that came out yesterday, 1 out of every 6 homeowners have a house worth less than their mortgage balance.

Sad that you can still get 97% financing today. Should be at least 10%-20% down required.

Get out of debt people. Maybe you'll realize how much easier it is to survive hard times when you're not still paying off your excesses from the "good" times.

I went back and read it and was like; damn I said that completely wrong lol.

Because of everything that is going on I have decided to hold off on the purchase of a house too. I feel in another year or year and a half I will be able to find what I want at a great price too. I will hopefuly have at least a 20% down payment, that's if my mutual funds haven't takena complete shlt over the past year.

I really want a handgun (Glock 19) and my wife is still firm on that. No firearms in the house. I simply can't convince her otherwise and I've tried everything members here have recommended.

So I have a baseball bat and a couple of knives. I don't need any of this stuff, I just want it.

Maybe I should buy a paintball gun, at least I can have fun with it in the backyard.

It would be almost impossible for a kid (or anyone under 6 foot) to shoot themselves with a mossberg pump shotgun with a standard 28" barrel (except in the foot or by using a toe on the trigger). In 12 guage, that thing is slingin out a LARGE wad of up-close lethal (where it's legally safe) yet distance less-lethal POWAH. It can also be used for hunting, camping safety, and daughter's dating testing. http://www.mossberg.com/products/def...ction=products Many "mods" available.

Cops also look at a shotgun much differently than a handgun.
