Dyno Pulstar Plugs!

Today I finally got the chance to test these Pulstar plugs.....on the dyno.
We did three pulls with NGK G-power platinum plugs. Then installed the Pulstar plugs and did another three pulls. Needless to say there were no gains at all from the Pulstar plugs.

The pros at DL Motorsports use a DYNOJET dyno which is very consistant. All six pulls read the same HP and Torque, using the NGK's and the Pulstars.

Graph will be shown tomorrow. I'm having some technical difficulties

I thought maybe Modified magazine had been paid off to run an article saying they got 11whp out of a Z with these. I'm going to cancel my subscription now. What a bunch of bs.

I am having a little difficulty posting the dyno chart. I'll get some technical support tomorrow and then hopefully post the chart.

For now, I'll give you guys the numbers.

NGK G-Power 133.61 max hp 128.75 max torque
Pulstar Plugs 133.50 max hp 129.93 max torque

I must make it known that the quality of these Pulstar plugs are very poor. I had 1 of the Pulstar plugs seperate on me. It seperated where the porcelien goes inside the metal base. There was no reason that should have happened. Maybe during shipping it inherited a hairline crack. But even so, the package should've been better. The package was very slim and didn't have any protection from the top of the package. I had to use a NGK platinum plug for cylinder 4 to complete the test.

However, the only difference is that the Pulstar plugs showed a smoother torque curve from 2000 rpm to 5000 rpm, but was in no way higher in torque compared to the NGK's.

if the plugs are old or fouled then changing the plugs will result in power being REgained, but gains from spark plugs lol...

This is exactly what the plug looked like after i pulled out the spark plug socket from the spark plug port of the engine. This portion was stuck in the socket because the spark plug socket has a rubber o-ring that holds the plug in the socket for removal purposes. Apparently....I'm not the first to have this happen too.

Hey guys, im sorry I haven't posted in a while but I want to link a post form my local forums for you all to read. I want to pretty much retract my previous statment of endorsement for these plugs. Read this:

http://racingsouthwest.com/forums/in...howtopic=57900

I do have to say though, that I did feel alot better throttle response when they were in....maybe just me...IDK. But I have also had no response from Enerpulse about doing this kind of test on my car again on an INDEPENDENT dyno!!

NGK IRIDIUM FTMFW!!!!

Replacing old spark plugs will do that.
