i go to an engineering school (WPI) and recently one of the redbull racing prototype F1 cars was at my school. A kid from one of my project groups and i were looking at it and he said "wow a 3L V10. they have the smallest pistons, they are like thimbles". Keep in mind that this is a kid who follows monster truck racing (is an administrator on some stupid monster truck forum) and nascar, thinks he is well informed, and the fact that we are working on an engine project right now for a dynamics of mechanisms and machines class (in which we had to research bore/stroke ratios, conrod/crank ratios etc). It tooke me about 20 minutes to explain to him that they have a relatively large bore with a short stroke and in the end he still wasnt sure that i was right.

i got two pretty good ones the first one is a buddy of mine who thinks he knows a ton of s*it about cars and he told me that the dipstick was in the gas tank and the second one was my friend has a civic si w/ a type s swap and headwork done goes to the track and blows away a honda accord w/ rims and all that other b/s the guy comes back and says its not a race car yet i got a motor on the ways its a 5 speed swap dohc vtach twin turbo 4 cylinder motor and me just for the sake of not making him look completely retarded says yea ive heard those are really fast and walk away laughing then the kid turns back to me yells sumthin cuz he notices me laughin and goes i still go lambo doors and lifts one up as if to impress me

Dude at Superior Nissan claimed that a B15 with the Nismo suspension pulls more G's on a skidpad than "any stock car"

Perhaps he missed the release of the Elise.
