you can try getting the AC system recharged. also where the 3 buttons between the knobs are make sure the bottom on and the middle one are pushed in the middle makes it really nice and cold. which i oh so love living in florida.

This is a *common* problem on lot of XE/GXE.

What happen is the cable behind the temp dial is too loose and get stuck at the same temp. Your dealer should change the hole temp module to fix the problem. There is a TSB also you can look at here:

NTB03005

IF YOU CONFIRM A 2002 or 2003 Sentra has any of the following symptoms: · Air flow amount is different between the left and right side of the center AC/Heater vents · "Flapping" noise from the center AC/Heater vents · Temperature Control (Air Mix) Knob is stuck · Temperature Control (Air Mix) Knob turns freely but will not change the temperature · Mode Control Knob is stuck Refer to this bulletin for detail information.
Hope this help!

Because when the A/C is off, the vent isn't on re-circulate. Just push the middle button in between the A/C and rear window defroster buttons....it should light up green, and stop blowing hot air when the A/C is not on.

Remember how older cars had a vent switch that would allow outside air in? Well they have changed it so that vent is always on and instead of opening it, you have to turn it off by pressing the re-circulate btn.

It only took 12 years.

Does'nt matter if the A/C is ON of OFF because what happen is, again, the temp dial is stuck at HOT and there is no way to fix it unless the dealer change the hole module.

First, show the dealer this TSB #NTB03005 and tell him to do the procedure in that bulletin. If I don't want to, either call Nissan USA or have another dealer to look at.

This is really a problem the dealer MUST fix and they should take care of.

Good luck!

You weren't listening to what he says dude.....when the A/C is ON, he says it blows cold......I'm not saying the TSB for your problem doesn't exist, but in this case, I believe Trance and I have got it nailed down.

Lets confirm, when the AC is on, is the car blowing hot or cold air?

On my 04, the AC blows cold air just fine, but the vent set on cold air is slightly wamr. You're probably saying, well it isn't AC so it shouldn't be cold, but my old b12 with just the cold air vent was cool, much cooler than my 04.

One of the weaknesses of the ventilation system in the B15 is the fact that the center vents run directly over the head unit, thereby drawing in it's heat. Another weakness is the system doesn't have enough "ommph" to push a lot of air out of the side vents.

Am I the only one here who thinks that anyone with common sense would have figured this one out?

sorry, I just think it's dumb, I mean, the button is labelled.......

unless something is wrong with the system, I ALWAYS have my system on recirculate.....otherwise, just hot engine bay air is coming in.
