Lil_viscious559 review....good or bad?

I'm writing this because I just got the AEM cai I bought from Lil_viscious559. his shipping was great, shipped it out on wednesday and I got it today(friday). About half an hour into installing it, I realized that there's NO MAF ADAPTER! also he did not include the hose clamps needed (stock ones did not work!) Now, could this be considered my fault for not asking, or his fault? I just ASSUME everything would be included for a complete install...

Is this even an AEM filter?

And here's a pic of a hole in the pipe that he failed to mention in the sales ad. The hole doesn't bother me so much since it is pretty well covered up with tape, but just something he should have mentioned. He did mention the dents which I did expect, but not the hole.

That filter is not an AEM, it's exactly what it says a "SPECTRE" brand, which is sold at Autozone and Pepboys. The MAF adapter you can find at the local parts store for about $5-6.

Damn, that CAI looks like crap... how much did you pay for it? Looks like he sent you a $10 vatozone filter instead of the real $50 AEM one.
Sorry to hear man.

lil_viscious replied to me and said this:

"The AEM intake doesn't come with an MAF adapter. Try Using your stock hose with the stock clamp, since the hose i provided you with was with my SE-R."

if i can find a maf adapter at local autozone/kragen for cheap, then i'll just get it....but im currently on a road trip right now from socal to norcal so i won't even be able to deal with this until monday. (i had originally wanted to run the cai for the road trip, but that proved to be impossible)

I guess you failed to ask some questions, but I probably would have ended up assuming also.
For $40, I say use what you can from it. Once you get the MAF adapter, you at least have a short ram, fix that pipe's hole, and you will have the CAI.

Lil_viscious559 is a bad seller though for sure. Ppl should say what is truly up with the parts they are selling.

I almost bought that. Fark, I'm sorry you got stuck with it.

I got burned by the 'what you saw is what you got' BS before. It's dishonest, bottom line.

What's up guys. I am the one that bought the Nismo header from him. I met him in person. He's a pretty cool guy, but the parts were pretty much junk except for the header. Yeah, you should have asked more questions escpecially because you can't see the parts up close. But for $40.....come on now....can't expect too much. The Stillen exhaust he has for sale doesn't look great either. I don't think it's the full cat back either. Looks kinda pieced together. He says he has a custom test pipe, but it's just the stock mid-pipe with the cat cut off and a pipe to replace it. Sorry to hear you are dissappointed though. Live and learn buddy

For a $40 intake, quit complaining. Go to vatozone or any oreillys and get the maf adapter. I ran a spectre filter on my car with no problems. I had a aem on my spec when i had it and i ended up crushing the aem one.
