DAMMIT...part 2

http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/show...=175676&page=2

So if you recall my thread (above) about the curbed rim....you may remember me saying that my apartment complex was resealing the parking lot. This caused me to have to park on the street against the curb.

The first night, I curbed my rim. GREAT!

The second night someone poured something all over my car...the roof, the windshield, the hood, the passenger side fender, door and window. I, of course, did not notice this until I was leaving for work at like 11:30 that morning. So I immediately took it to a car wash, one that is NOT touchless, to scrub the ride.....everything came off except the stains on the passenger side mirror. Now I am stuck trying to figure out how to get these stains off.

I am so f*cking mad.....I am not a violent person but I would gladly beat the ever living sh*t out of whoever did this. I am halfway thinking about putting my car back out by the street overnight, and drinking 25 redbulls to stay awake and watch. First person that even looks at my car sideways will see a 200+ lb man blast them into next week.

Pics of damages?
Lol, sounds like crap. I'm always scared of this when I don't get to park in my garage.

I haven't grabbed any pics of the mirror yet...I will though.

Some people are just a$$holes you know? If we are playing the "mess with each others cars" game....I am all for it. I just wish I knew who did it so I could return the favor in kind.

Go get some acetic acid from the grocery store, and dilute it 1:1 with water. Then get a spray bottle and start spraying it down. Leave for about 3 mins, then wipe down with a microfiber cloth.

Then wash it all off, and re wax where ever it touched.

Your car may smell like a pickle for a while lol.

Return the favor with brake fluid. I'll strip the paint right off

Try "Goo Gone" or good ol' "WD-40" to get rid of the crap on the mirror.

Nadeem, you're on here too? Damn.

I wouldn't do WD-40 just because of its solvent properties.

Blackie, i ordered a lil gizmo for this kind of situation the other day. It is a cheapo wireless camera with a reported 1000' range. It was only $40 on 1saleaday; i'll let you know how it works out. I think my smaller cat has figured out how to get into my medicine cabinet.
(remember, your name isn't on your SKS)

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated! I am going to give it a try and see what works and how well.

Orangey, you gotta let me know how it works out for sure. That is something I would be totally interested in. I am still convinced that my new garage buddy (2 cars per garage) is door dinging the ride like crazy. I am such a goon about my car that I actually had the door ding conversation with him the first time we met...you know "THIS is my side, THAT is your side, DON'T door ding my car" kinda talk. He seemed to get the point but now I wonder. Seems that a chunk of the guard dissappeared from the drivers side door....hmmmmm.

Blackie, it took quite a while for my el cheapo camera to get here, but it does actually work as it was described. I would say the range was overstated, but it does work through multiple walls & on the other end of the house from the garage (further testing later). I can't find any brand info on the camera, but i've seen similar stuff on the web. I'll update this with a pic or two of the equipment & see if i can find one similar to it online.

Since this thing is battery powered, i think you could stash it in your parking area & watch from the TV. I'm considering putting one at my parents' house so they can check the door more easily.

http://www.nitroplanes.com/wosmlora24gh.html This appears to be pretty close, but it seems to be setup for plug-in rather than battery, but i'd bet that could be easily changed.
