Hello All
I just joined the forum. It looks like you have a good one here. I am hoping to get some help. I recently purchased an 02 spec v and the engine has given up the fight. I just got a wrecked 02 spec v and need to find a write up on how to do the swap. I think it may have been the dreaded pre-cat fail. Thanks in advance. Take care and God bless.

welcome aboard!
for information about precat failure, read this: http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=135241 if youre swapping the same year, its just unbolt the old, and bolt on the new. you can use the fsm for torque specs and other important information. if youre interesting in rebuilding a motor from precat failure, you might want to look into the 07+ headgasket and headbolts, and consider some new rings. you can also do the bsr when the bottom end is apart. dont forget to shave the head just in case. all the relearns that youll need are in the fsm as well.
