Shhhhh....Its all about the dimwitted politicians looking at getting re-elected-no danger here. Convincing us that spending unlimited fictional dollars to protect all of us from everything, all of the time using irrational unworkable concepts and laws insures their re-election.

If this were not so pathetic and counterproductive and didn't cause any harm I could belly laugh at this sh1t all day. I'm trying to figure out if they really think that people are so dumb that they buy into it or they ( politicians) are really too stupid or corrupt to see it. I suppose its 'both'.

Merry Christmas Y2K

What's wrong you ask? "Gun free zones" are what is wrong; if you define an area as being filled only with the defenseless, predators will be drawn to the easy prey.

I got a new pistol for Christmas, a compact Bersa 9mm; next purchase will probably be the "enhanced" concealed carry permit.

Actually here in town the police do go out with the fire dept, but probably because they have nothing else to do!

DA/SA, but the de****er safety won't allow for "****ed & locked" carry. That first pull is loooooooong. Same basic setup as the smaller Bersa Thunder .380 that i passed on to my sister but with more capacity and 9mm long instead of 9mm short.

If i had kids, the integrated lock would have more appeal, since i do not, it will be unused.

Yea, my 3913 S&W is the same. By the time I get the trigger pulled I'm dead.

AR's are sold out everywhere. People are paying ridiculous prices. Give me a good 12 gauge for home defense! The mayor of Springfield says we need to limit guns to a 10 round max capacity. MA has has that law since Clinton! What an idiot. Did he mean other states? LOL! Most gun control advocates don't know anything about guns or gun laws. Before you start telling people what to do at least know what you are talking about.

I took my father to a gun show on Sunday at Market Hall. The hysteria displayed by many is/was laughable.

QFT
A co-worker of mine sold his truck to carmax to buy ammo...in bulk. When asked why he needed so much ammo, he responded with "that n-word is gonna get us all killed."

To be a complete smart ***, I asked how he was going to move that arsenal or turn his home into a fortress.

The gun laws are not going to disarm a nation of gun owners. Both sides need an effin' sanity check.

I should have bought his truck.

Yep.

The good news is that the show actually wasn't as crowded as usual. My dad said that everyone had already been flocking to the gun shops more than usual, so the shows aren't really bringing in that many people.

In 6 months, all of this will be forgotten by the media, and, in turn, the gov't. The status quo will continue.

Exactly. I really have wanted to buy a S&W AitWeioght. (.38 +P) Forget that right now. I am patient. I'll just continue to carry my .380 S&W Sigma for now. Federal Hydra Shok ammo will do the trick.

Why is it that every time some mental case goes out of control, the solution is to punish the law abiding gun owners? Politicians are the scum of the earth. Nothing but a bunch of self serving a holes who think they are smarter than every one else and like to hear themselves talk.

Yea Chuck remember when we worked for a living? In the Corporate World, it was "search for the guilty" and punish the innocent. Its just gotten a whole lot worse.

Now King OBama is going to use an Executive Order to ban "Assault Rifles" and high capacity magazines. Next will be Hop-Along Cassidy Cap Guns. Of course that is only if Biden (Happy The Clown)recommends it.

I will be interested to see how he pulls off the Sport Utility Rifle ban and the full capacity magazine ban. The last time, it required some legislative authority. The only fix for the "gunshow loophole" would be to register all the firearms out there; i don't see people falling for that again after the Jewish holocaust and all. Without a complete registration, they would never be able to accurately track sales between individuals or of firearms previously sold from one individual to another individual.

Personally, i'm not a big fan of an AR in .223; now in .308, i find it more interesting, accuracy with a bit of range and a heavy enough projectile to do some damage at that range. As far as mags go, i have a dozen each for my two full size pistols and a few for the CZ52 and Bersa; i don't see me needing any more until the zombies come .

see I was never a big fan of the Ar either till I owned one. I bought mine as my wolf hunting rifle. I have a couple of 30 rnd mags for when i want to just go have fun, but I mostly have 20 rndrs because of the weight. On my pistonl I plan on buying a couple more mags as spares, 19rnd mags are nice but I dont know how they would do a 10 or less mag for it. My pistol cant even be sold in Cali because of that.
As for an AR in .308, great gun. If you want to spend $2500 on it.
