5th Anniversary

Any ideas what I could get my wife? I wanted to go somewhere, but that won't happen with our two month old baby...we are going out to dinner but can't actually go away anywhere. I even thought about bringing my in laws along to watch the baby and pay for their hotel and stuff too, but it doesn't look like that is going to work out.

So I am left with just getting a present of some sort...

It's a tough question to answer without knowing your budget. I know a lot of nice restaurants will prepare a meal for pick up, especially if you explain the circumstances. Or give her a day where you watch the baby and she can go shopping for clothes, etc. Or promise her a night out at a later date. (not so great, but having an infant is tough!). Next year for our 40th, we're going to Vegas. I've already lined up a babysitter for our 30 year old.

LOL. I think someone is going to watch Kylie so we can go out to eat at least..and I assume we will go somewhere nice.

I was looking at maybe getting her something from Tiffany and Co. She said she always wanted something from there. Just have to figure out how to pay for it

Diamond earrings are always a hit. You can get pretty small diamonds and they still look good.

She has some diamond studs that I got her when we got engaged, but maybe I can find some dangling ones or something. Lol the necklace I liked at Tiffany and Co was $2900

DO NOT GET DANGLING DIAMOND EARRINGS...they don't look good...ie waste of good diamonds.

If you listened to me you wouldn't have an issue taking and doing anything with the wife . J/K (mostly)

Perhaps you and your wife go to dinner; something reasonable as far as time goes.
Then YOU take the baby for a while so that mom can go do something for herself, on you.

My wife appreciated things like that the most.

It seems weird to get her something for our anniversary where she would go hang out by herself since it is celebrating us being married.

Still looking at the jewelry, but I can't ever get out to go look around...hopefully soon.

If I can't find anything it might be an IOU or just adding money to our take a trip fund for next year.

If her dream has been to get something from Tiffany, why not start a "Tiffany Fund". Each year on your anniversary put a "donation" into the fund. When you have enough, take her for a weekend to NYC and visit the real Tiffanys. In the meantime just eat out for your anniversary like everyone else!
