Door Panel Removal ASAP

Yes, I've searched, but threads from '03 with no detailed information don't help me. Can someone point me in the direction of a useful write-up for door panel removal. The two screws (upper and lower) have been removed, but there appears to be another connecting point located behind the power window switches.
Thanks.

Grab the part where your hand goes to shut the door and pull it up and off. Then slide the switch panel back and lift it up. Disconnect the wires and remove it. Then remove the two screws behind those panels.

Thanks for the quick response. Just got it finished (had to replace the mirror). Write-up with pics soon to come.

Door Panel Removal Write-Up w/pics

Ok, my buddy and I made up our own how-to for removing the door panel with pics.

There is one phillips screw located on the under side of the door panel.

Another plastic phillips screw near the door hinge under the mirror assembly.

Once the screws are removed you need to start on the under side of the door panel and firmly pry it outwards due to the plastic body modling clips that hold the door panel in place. There are also a few along the top edge of the door panel which need some elbow grease as well.

With a little bit convincing, you need to remove the door handle section by pulling it out in an upward motion.

Then the power window switch section will slide out in a backwards motion.

Once those parts are removed, there are two (2) phillips screws holding the door panel in place.

With those removed, you can "simply" remove the panel.

This write-up was done to access the side-view mirror assembly to replace a damaged mirror. The plastic corner trim piece needs to be removed by pulling it evenly on both sides outwardly from the door to avoid breaking off one of the plastic "studs" which hold it in place. There are three (3) 10mm nuts which anchor the mirror to the door frame. Also, a four wire connector needs to be connected or disconnected depending on what project you are doing with the mirror.

Hope this helps out.

*Not pictured is the plastic ring trim piece around the door handle part. That's pretty simple to remove.

You know you can take that black plastic off without removing the door, right? Although getting to the wiring connector would be tough.

No because the door panel overlaps the corner modling piece.

Yes because I've done it about 12 times in the past week I'm building a gauge pod there for my a/f gauge (look for finished pics next week).

I will eventually have to take the entire panel off to run the wires down and into the cabin, but for now you just pull the top out until both tabs release, then pull it up out from behind the door panel.
