speakers or head unit???

A couple of weeks ago i noticed that 2 of my speakers didn't work at all and 1 of them was barely audible at max volume. I figured they were blown and have started buying parts for a whole new system. Now i'm starting to think they might not actually be blown and that it may be the head unit.

How would i test the head unit, or speakers for that matter???

did you move the speakers around and test them on the channels that do work?

Swap the driver side and passenger side speakers. If the problem shifts sides, its the speakers; if it doesn't, its the head unit.
