Installing new head unit/system in '04 spec v

i was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the stock cd player to an aftermarket head unit in an '04 spec v. i already have a head unit, amp, and subs from my previous car that i want to install. it looks to be difficult but i was wondering if anyone had done it yet.

It shouldn't be any different from the 00's to 03's. You should do a search on installing an aftermarket radio on the b15. I haven't replaced mine with an aftermarket unit, but I have taken the dash apart and it's the easiest thing in the world.

thanks for the reply. i know that i'll need some sort of adapter for the new head unit...but i have no idea where to look. have any ideas?

i dunno, anywhere you'd look to get an adapter for any other car?

i havent seen anything yet...one guy told me that the parts may not be out for the '04 yet

I'm pretty sure it'll be the same as the 2000-2003...........it's not a completely new car dude.......

It's a B15 radio dude, any B15 adapter will work

dude put the deck in the lower cubby and install in dash screen in upeer stereo area. This is of course you want to turn some heads.

i have an 04 and drove it from the dealership to my werk and swapped the radio its a must make so much difference in sounds quality

(circuit city roadshop installer)

just lift the lid and grab that bar and pull toward you pops right out had it in and out more times than can count

I have a 2004 and a 2003 adapter was used
