Ok I have the HU and when I hook the Sub preout to a Bazooka EL1500 it is getting no sound from the sub, but then I hooked it to my brothers kenwood in his it seemed to work.

The bazooka works of a converter from the 8 " stock sub.

i was about to say, i thought that it was a panasonic, considering that I have that exact same HU, its really freaking nice. I had the same problem with mine for a while, i had to get it replaced, but I dont see as to why the preout isnt working, are you sure the stock converter can hold the 5V preout? You may want to check the specs on your sub for that

No I have 2 sets of rca's. One from the HU which dosen't work with the amp and a set that a got from the signal from the 8 " sub.

I don't really know. I also tried the Rear & Front preouts to see if it would get a signal but it got nothing. the amp just sits there with the green light on. I'm using the rca's from the 8" sub right know. Also I have the rockford package and when I have my panasonic HU volume at 12 my speakers seem freakin loud... t

So the amp is getting power and working fine, but you are just getting nothing out of your speakers? Did you check the signal from the HU to the amp, its not disconnected? I really cant think of why it wouldnt be working, its like the amp isnt giving any power? First time i have every heard of everything in you audio system working, but not working. Like the twilight zone, du du du du.

I was going to get this HU or the Pioneer DEH-P750MP
I can actually get the Pioneer 10 dollars cheaper and it comes with 3pre-outs 6V each. I'm running 3 amps so I was just wondering how you guys liked your CQ-DFX983U? And does it really only come with 2 preouts?
