I'm looking to buy these speakers for the front and rear. My question is, would I hook up the little tweeters for the rear? That just doesn't sound right. Do you just leave the tweeters off in the rear? Thanks for answering the audio newbie question.

Just leave it off unless you are going to have people back there all the time. The highs are directional so they won't make it up front

It's ok, we were all newbies at some point. No, do not put the tweets back there. But, are the tweets detachable, you could always rewire it to put them up front to replace the stock ones in the a-pilar.

I have the Alpine Type-R coaxial (NOT component) in the rear and I've wired both the woofer and the tweeter... Alpine use a crossover so if you don't plug it, it will really sound like *****.

keep things simple... do the components in the front, and Type-R coaxils in the rear.

I have Type R Comp's in the rear deck and I just knocked down the Tweeter level to -6db. It makes for good sound when you have rear passengers, and it doesn't take away from the front stage.
