what you guys think of this current setup?

audiobahn A8000T 800w amp
2 Clarion SRW 1283 12'' DVC subs in a 2x12 sealed box

The audiobahn amp would be ok, but dont go with the Clarion subs. They are usually good when it comes to mids and HU's, not subs. If you want some good 12" subs, go with L5's or if you have the money go with L7's, but you may need a bigger amp. I guess that setup would be ok for a start, but you may be yearning for a harder hit later, which means even more $$$.

The L5 and L7 are good if you only want loud bass and don't care about sound quality

But you gotta understand, that is what I am going for, the bigger the bass, the more womens clothes you blow off.

true, which makes them great for you, but not necessarily good for this guy. When recommending something like that, you have to be sure that's what he's looking for. Speaking of which, what are you looking for taleus1? How important are sound quality and loudness to you? What is your budget?

Oh, thats right. I am sorry I forgot to ask that too, I just forget when it comes to SPL, SQ, and bling bling. All those have big factors on what you wanna get.

Seriously... do any of you have a system to have anything to do with women? Maybe its because I'm out of highschool, but most of the girls I know hate my system and its not even that loud.

Yeah.. most of the women I know could give a **** about a good sounding system. In fact, none of them care at all. My fiancé' could care less if she was listening to a kraco stereo I bought at pep boys. As long as it played, it would be okay with her. If I told her I used a regular bar of soap to wash my hair instead of the super glow 2000 oil treatment w/jerry curl enhancing fiber optics, she would throw me out of the house. Oh wait no she wouldn’t...I live by myself...never mind.

Oh and if I was in high school, I would have a pair of DD subs and make my women sit right by the speaker ports if they didn’t like it. They would learn to like it or suffer the consequences :D

I never said that they had to like it, just that it could happen. I have noticed more and more that women hate systems, except for that rare breed of just ...................hoeish girls.

For some reason it tends to tick most girls off more than anything. I've found one or two that can appreciate it though. Hmmm, not sure about the hoe-ish factor on those or not. One, for sure... the other, not positive, could go either way. Hmmm.

well as far as sound vs bass is concerned, i hoped to achieve both by buying 12's over 10's for the base and getting a sealed box over a ported box for the quality

btw, i went and bought the clarion subs and audiobahn amp, everything seems good so far but i gotta tweek the amp a bit, bass is so loud that i can actually feel my ear drums moveing (or something, i dunno, maybe i was just trippin out!) so i gotta get back a bit of the quality back by turning that **** down.

they are good subs though, the clarions. i dont regret my decision.

Very good my son, I am glad that you are happy with your decision. If it is the mixture of SQ and SPL that you want, then more power to you, or maybe less power because you said you needed to turn it down. Maybe this could be a good thing, unless you want to attract those hoes, man you gotta love them, no... wait..... all you really have to do is just lay there...... and let them do the work!!!!

this is true, i am only concerned about wanting to be able to hear my future wife moan in bed when im older :(

but im sure ill still go deaf in about ummm, a year or so!
