Anyone take their stock Sentra SE Automatic to the track just for the hell of it and see what it runs? And if you modded a automatic, what mods did u install and how much better did it do? Thanks!

why would they, they are slow. like really slow.

I know one guy took his to the 1/4 and got like a 16.1 with a few mods. His post is actually in this same section if you look for it. IMO drag sucks, well at least in a slow car it does:D

Automagics are looked down upon because it's generally not easy to squeeze performance out of a car whose computer tells it to get good fuel economy and smooth acceleration... not quick speed.

All is not lost, though. Level 10 and some other companies can help with torque converters and transmission coolers and other such fun equipment. Just be prepared to have a thinner wallet after the mods are done.

Blah, blah, blah...........a stock SE auto will run anywere from a 16.7 to a 17.0

JCGator ran a 15.5, but that was on the bottle. My fast is a 16.3, but I know I can hit a 16.2

I don't think anyonw else is that fast in a Auto! Who had a 16.1?

Well the first problem is that you are thinking it will be faster. I thought after my header were put on that I would break into the 15's. The car feels alot faster then a 16.3

So unless you have taken your 142 MPH XE-R to the track, don't think it's as fast as you would like!

If indeed it is true, take into consideration that yours is a manual, while the car in question has an automatic transmission.
