Well, I thought Eric was going to post this first, but I guess it's up to me now. We went to scca point event autocross yesterday and had a little fun (was it an SC vs. NC event?). There were a ton of cars there, everything from a supercharged Corvette, to a REAL Shelby Cobra, to my lowly sentra. I was in the STS class because of my rims, other cars in my class were an accord, a few civics, an audi A4 cuattro, and eclipse (turbo I think), and a WRX. I think there was a 911 and a Vette in there too, but I don't remember. I got beat by the accord (driven by a friend of Eric's) which had the fastest time in the class (and the SM class which is what Eric rode in) don't ask me how. Also the WRX and the Eclipse, but I'm not sure how I stood with the rest of them. I got a best time of 27.437 where the winning time was a 25.??? and the 3rd place eclipse had a high 26.?? So not bad against the competition I had, but hey, it was my first time and I ****ing loved it. The real story is Eric though, he was up against a 2000 celica automatic, a turbo GSR putting down a dyno tested 290-325 HP, another turbo eclipse, and some other badass cars. Well guess what.....The AUTOMATIC 1.6L sentra rocked them all! Eric came away with first, the celica second, and the GSR third. Overall a great time, but I am in excruciating pain right now because it feels like the skin is peeling off the back of my neck:mad: I gotta remember the sunscreen next time! Hey Eric, is there a place where they have the results? Like on the webpage or something? I think I actually beat that 911 from the few results I heard it got, but I'd really like to know.

The cool thing about AutoX is that you don't have to have the fastest ca, or the most expensive. It's all about driving!!! At the last AutoX I was at the fast time was laid down by a S2000. The Vettes, Mustangs, and all those other big HP cars were almost a full second slower.

Great time Adam, especially for your first time! Oh, btw, this is Will, the guy driving that silver sentra SE. Wish I coulda stayed to see you guys run. That 911 was cool, except it sounded like a damn big block chevy, heh. I shoulda run, oh well, maybe next time.

What's up Will. Actually I wasn't talking about that loud *** 911, there was another that happened to be in either my class or Eric's since we ran at the same time. You should have registered and come out, it was a lot of fun. The next one (and the last) is October 7th on folly road, and trust me, it won't be nearly as packed, so you should sign up for that one. The Integra he beat was the one right next to our cars, with that big *** turbo and intercooler in it. He was actually a really nice guy, he know's what he's doing and the three of us talked when we were on work detail in the middle of the course.

Good job Adam. I think the 1.6 has plenty of potential that needs to be unleahed. Keep up the good work.

Man Adam, I was going to post the results on the SBB after I posted the info on the SML, my bad....:( .... Anyhow I got Adam hooked on auto-x now,lol...Also I'll dub a tape for you as soon as I can Adam. Yea my friend kicked my *** (well not really kicked)and he was in STS with a 1989 Accord 4 door! He ran a best of 25.4??. I ran a best of 26.009. My friend (Mike G.) is a damn good driver, hell he raced in Japan for 2yrs! I swear he can race any car! Yea it felt good to beat a turbocharged 'Teg GSR and Eclipse and take my class. Hopefully next season, winning my class will be a regular thing.

4doors, you really should have run man...you would have had so much fun. Maybe next one.

Did you happen to talk to any of those civic boys running in our heat? I thought I overheard one of them talking about an engine swap, do you know what they were running?

I thought a saw one with an engine swap.....but I could be wrong.
